How can we help?

Everything you need to get the tool working — API key setup, how each tab works, the monitoring toggle explained, troubleshooting, and how to reach us.

Getting started

Setting up for the first time

Affiliate Opportunity Finder runs entirely in your web browser — nothing to install. To use the AI features you need your own Anthropic API key. Here’s how to get one and connect it in under two minutes.

Step 1 — Get your Anthropic API key

1
Go to console.anthropic.com
Create a free account. This is separate from Claude.ai — you need the API console, not the chat interface.
2
Add billing credit
Settings → Billing → Add credit. Start with $5 — that covers weeks of regular use. Each scan costs fractions of a penny.
3
Create an API key
Settings → API Keys → Create Key. Copy it immediately — it starts with sk-ant- and you only see it once. Save it somewhere safe.

Step 2 — Add your key to the tool

1
Open the tool and click the API Key tab
Open your Affiliate Opportunity Finder HTML file in any browser. Click API Key in the top navigation.
2
Paste your key and click Save
Paste your sk-ant- key into the field and click Save. Stored only in your browser’s localStorage — never sent anywhere except directly to Anthropic.
3
Click Test connection
A green confirmation means you’re ready. If you see an error, check the key was copied in full and that you have billing credit on your account.

✓ You’re ready. Click the Find tab, type your niche — “home gym equipment”, “keto supplements”, “personal finance software” — and click Find communities. Results appear in 5–10 seconds.

How the tool works

All six tabs — exactly what each one does

🔍 Find
Community research — three steps

The Find tab moves through three steps automatically. You don’t navigate between them manually.

Step 1 — Enter your niche. Type your niche in the text field. Optionally add your affiliate programme (Amazon Associates, ClickBank, etc.) and a specific product name. Choose your post type from the chips — Top 5 list, Buying guide, Product comparison, Problem + solution, Honest review, or Budget picks. Click Find communities.

Step 2 — Pick communities. Eight community cards appear — Reddit subreddits and Facebook groups — ranked by buying intent. Each card shows the platform, member count, tone, whether promotions are allowed, and a tip for that community. Tap any card to select it — it highlights with a blue border. Select as many as you want. The Generate content button appears once at least one is selected. You can also click the Save bookmark on any card to add it to your Saved tab for later.

Step 3 — Get content. Click Generate content. A tabbed view appears — one tab per selected community. Each post is 300–450 words, matched to that community’s tone and rules, with your affiliate angle woven in. Use Copy on each post, click Regenerate for fresh versions, or Back to return to your community selection.

Tip: “Promos ok” badge = that community explicitly allows promotional content. Communities without the badge may still accept links — the tool writes more subtle content for those.

💾 Saved
Bookmarked communities + Generate post + monitoring toggle

Every community you bookmark from the Find tab appears here. Two things happen from this tab: you generate posts for individual communities, and you control which communities are monitored for buying intent.

Generate post button: Each saved community card has its own Generate post button. Click it and the tool writes a single post for that community using your niche from the Find tab. Enter your niche there first — if the field is empty, the tool will alert you to go back and fill it in. Generated posts appear directly below the saved community cards with Copy and Save buttons.

The monitoring toggle — how to use it: On the right side of each saved community card is a small oval switch. This is the monitoring toggle. It controls whether that community is included when you run a buying intent scan in the Alerts tab.

off
on
Off (grey, circle left): This community is not included in Alerts scans.

On (dark, circle right): This community is included when you click Scan for buying intent in the Alerts tab.

Click the toggle to switch it. The small label below the switch shows “on” or “off”. Your settings are saved automatically and persist when you close and reopen the tool. The same toggle also appears in the Alerts tab — both stay in sync.

The summary row at the top of the Saved tab shows three numbers: total saved communities, how many are currently toggled on for monitoring, and how many are Reddit specifically.

🔔 Alerts
Buying intent monitor — manual scan

The Alerts tab identifies moments in your saved communities where people are actively researching a purchase — the highest-converting moment to step in with a recommendation.

Before running a scan you need at least one saved community with its monitoring toggle switched on. Do this from the Saved tab (or from the toggle that also appears in the Alerts tab itself).

Buying-intent keywords: Default keywords are already loaded — “best under”, “which should I buy”, “looking for recommendations”, “worth it?”, “anyone tried”, “honest review”, “alternatives to”, “vs which is better”. Add your own by typing in the keyword field and pressing Enter or clicking Add. Remove any keyword by clicking the × next to it.

The monitoring toggle also appears here: Each of your saved communities is listed in the Alerts tab with its own toggle. You can turn monitoring on or off from here or from the Saved tab — they stay in sync.

Running a scan: Click Scan for buying intent now. Six buying-intent results appear — each showing the community, a post title, a two-sentence snippet, an urgency rating (high / medium / low), which keyword triggered it, and a one-sentence suggestion for how to position your affiliate angle. Click Angle on any result to expand the suggestion. Click Copy to copy the title and angle to your clipboard.

Note: The scan generates simulated buying-intent examples based on your niche and monitored communities — it doesn’t browse Reddit or Facebook in real time. Use the results to understand the types of posts to look for and what to say when you find them.

🔬 Analyse
Post analyser and improver

Paste any affiliate post — yours, one the tool generated, or one you found elsewhere — and get a score, specific feedback, and a fully rewritten improved version.

  • Paste your post into the large text area
  • Select platform using the chips: Reddit, Facebook, or Other — click the chip to highlight it (turns dark when selected)
  • Optionally add the community name and your niche for more targeted feedback
  • Click Analyse and improve

Results: a score out of 10 · a one-sentence verdict · what’s working · specific improvements · a fully rewritten version with a Copy button.

🕐 History
Last 10 generations — saved automatically

Every generation across all tabs is saved to History automatically — community searches, generated posts, alert scans, analyses. Nothing disappears unless you clear it.

  • Stores the last 10 generations, newest first
  • Each entry shows the type, a summary, and how long ago it was generated
  • Copy button on each entry copies the full content to your clipboard
  • Clear all at the top right removes all history

History is stored in your browser and persists between sessions. It will be lost if you clear your browser’s localStorage or switch browsers.

🔑 API Key
Your Anthropic key — and white-label branding (Tier 3)
  • Paste your sk-ant- key and click Save
  • Click Test connection to confirm it’s working before your first scan
  • The eye icon toggles the key visible or hidden
  • The key is stored in your browser only — never sent anywhere except directly to Anthropic’s API

Tier 3 only — white-label branding: A “Tool name” field and Apply button appear at the top of this tab. Type your brand name and click Apply — the name updates instantly across the entire interface: the header, footer, page title, and browser tab. For deeper customisation such as colours or logo, edit the CSS variables at the top of the HTML file.

Scan limits · Tier 1

How the 50 monthly scans work — and how they reset

Tier 1 allows 50 community scans per calendar month. A scan is used each time you click Find communities, Generate content, Scan for buying intent now, Analyse and improve, or Generate post from the Saved tab. The scan bar at the top of the app shows your current count and remaining total.

How the monthly reset works: The scan count is stored under a key that includes the current year and month — June 2026 is stored separately from July 2026. When the month changes, the tool reads a fresh key starting at zero automatically. There’s no button to press, no account to log in to, and nothing to set up. The reset happens silently on the 1st of each month.

50 scans is more than it sounds. A typical working session might use 3–5 scans. That’s 10–15 productive sessions per month on Tier 1. If you’re running multiple niches or want to research freely, upgrade to Tier 2 for unlimited scans.

How profiles work (Tier 2 and 3)

Each profile stores its own saved communities, monitoring toggle settings, keywords, and generation history completely separately. A profile switcher bar appears above the tabs — click any profile name to switch to it. Your API key is shared across all profiles; enter it once and it works everywhere.

White-label branding (Tier 3)

Open the API Key tab. A “Tool name” field is at the top with an Apply button. Type your brand name and click Apply — updates the header, footer, page title, and browser tab instantly. To change colours or add a logo, edit the CSS variables at the top of the HTML file’s style block.

Common questions

Frequently asked

Does the tool post to Reddit or Facebook automatically? +
No. The tool researches communities and writes posts for you to copy and post yourself. Automated posting violates both platforms’ terms of service. The actual posting is yours to do — it takes about 90 seconds once you have the content.
Why does the Generate content button disappear? +
The Generate content button only shows when at least one community card is selected (blue border). If you click Start over or return to step 1, the selection resets and the button hides. Tap any community card on step 2 to select it and the button reappears.
What’s the difference between Generate content (Find) and Generate post (Saved)? +
Generate content (Find tab, step 2) creates posts for multiple communities at once — one post per selected community, in separate tabs. Generate post (Saved tab) creates a single post for one specific saved community. Both use your niche from the Find tab input and produce identical quality output — they’re two entry points for different workflows.
The monitoring toggle is on but Alerts shows nothing — why? +
Check that the toggle is actually on (dark background, circle on the right) on at least one community. The toggle appears in both the Saved tab and the Alerts tab — check both. Then click Scan for buying intent now in the Alerts tab. If you still get nothing, make sure you have API credit on your Anthropic account.
Can I use this on multiple devices? +
Yes, but saved communities, toggle settings, keywords, and history are stored in each browser’s localStorage separately and don’t sync between devices. You’ll need to save your API key again on each device and set up your saved communities fresh.
How much does the Anthropic API cost to run? +
Very little. We use Claude Haiku — Anthropic’s most cost-efficient model. Each scan costs roughly $0.001–$0.003. $5 of API credit covers hundreds of scans. Most users spend $1–$3/month in API fees. Monitor your exact usage at console.anthropic.com.
How do I upgrade my tier? +
Email hello@nichelabsai.com with your original purchase details and which tier you want. We’ll credit your existing purchase against the new price — you pay only the difference.
Can I get a refund? +
Yes — 30-day money-back guarantee, no questions. Email hello@nichelabsai.com within 30 days of purchase and we’ll process it promptly.
